I'm a big old fat nerd. Posted on Wednesday 5Sep07, at 11:19 pm.   Oh my god. The plot, it moves forward. No more sitting around, no more exposition, no more backstory, no more new characters to introduce! I think it's honestly been an entire year since I've been able to say that. I'd check but...man, that takes time. You know how many of these fucking strips there are? Lots! 137, says the counter on top! Crazy. I'm disappointed in all of you. Man, I was so waiting for just one person to come up to me at Dragon Con and go “is that Kite guy here?” It would have so made my day! I'm failing all of you. It's OK though, because there's always next year. Chances are I'll be at Akon and Dragon*Con next year helping out my friends, so I'm giving you all a year to ready yourself. You have been warned. So, this is totally random piece of information I know, but I picked up a gold copy of Legend of Zelda at Dragon*Con. Yes, the NES version. Now, I have it for the Game Boy, and that's all well and good, but sitting here playing it with a real life NES controller a freaking flood of memories washed over me. This game is amazing for an NES era game. Everything is so elaborately well designed. The fact that you hear the boss breathing as you get close to the dungeon. I remember, as a kid, this game gave me a nightmare. It was kind of like the game but not. I can only remember a few shadows of the game, but it occurs to me what an amazingly impressive game this is for its time. I mean, I have Metroid Prime 3 all ready to play downstairs, and in its defense I am waiting for a time when I actually have a few hours to kill rather than the hand full of minutes it takes me to blow through a dungeon in LoZ but...damn, that really does speak volumes for how I feel about this game. Nerd vent, over. Kyle's talking about really pushing out the comics over the next short period of time. He wants our third year anniversary on the 14th to be meaningful, so go him. I promise, to all of you, that if we update multiple times in one day I'll put information on our most recent updates in the newsbox. I don't want you to miss one exciting moment.
