Of missed comics and two letter acronymns

So, after two weeks of trying to draw one comic, we decided to come back to the finale of the Tristain and Ciere mini-arc later, and Kyle churned this beauty out in about 2 hours. It's not coloured, but I think it really, really looks spiffy. But that might just be my bias.

So, I know you are wondering...will Tristain and Ciere have wild outer space sex? Will they learn to know each other's true feelings?

I'd rather talk about my DS.

Yeah, I got it like the day after my last rant went up saying I was going to get one, and I have been planning on ranting it SINCE then, but Kyle's work kept him from making a new comic. You'll be glad to know he quit that job, so comics should be coming in regularly from now on. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Anyway, right, DS. I like it. Certainly was worth $100. I tell you, I used to be THE biggest hater on Mario 64. I still have complaints about many of its aspects, mostly the fact that you can cover all of the terrain in the game in about 10 minutes if you just walked across all of it without collecting stars. You see, I have this crazy thing about exploration, but it's cool, it's livable.

Mario 64 is the best tech demo you can ask for. Let's start with one of my favourite parts, using the touch screen as an analog controller. It is BY FAR more naturaul and appealing to use the touch screen as a controller than it is to use an actual analog stick. For me, anyway. A lot of people complain about the touch screen. I think I like it because my hands are rather large and reach around easily.

Speaking of the size, this thing is a fucking brick man. It feels very solid. Though, I have problems with the top screen. Sometimes it kinds of slides a few micrometers, and that just feels awkward. Otherwise, I feel I could drop this from a second story building and be comfortably assured it would survive impact. Of course, I'm not going to TRY this, as I love it dearly.

The mini games make for a wonderful display of the functionality of the stylus. You're making trampolines and betting with Luigi and all sorts of wonderful little addictive things. It truly shows the functionality and capability the DS has to offer.

I also got Ridge Racer. To Ridge Racer I say...give me a wider turning radius, please? Also, when there are shoulders on either side of the road...let me drive on them. I know, let them slow me down or something, but the streets get VERY congested with all the other cars, and I lose more races because I had a street with cars 4-wide, rather than my own personal driving skills.

I am the first to admit my driving skills are sub par anyway. My Initial D track record is proof of this.

All told, I'd rather have a PSP. The PSP is far more shiny, and it doesn't feel like a brick, and the games are better...but let's be honest with ourselves. Money IS a factor, and frankly, that's the saving grace for the DS. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING is under half as expensive in DS land. I like that a lot. Also, the two speakers make my old GBA games sound really really pretty, that's worth some bonus points on its own.

Of course, if someone wants to donate $250 my way so I can get a PSP...I'd appreciate it. Maybe I should start one of those charity drives. I don't know why I haven't yet. The entire point of this comic is to parody other money whoring webcomics. We are so not living up to standard. Domingo, get on a paypal account stat!
