| | Repost of earlier rant Posted on Wednesday 17May06, at 3:31 am. | | |
Google had a problem with the following rant, so the part they wanted gone was removed. Violation of contract or some such nonsense. If you must know what it was, email me about it, it's dumb.
Welcome, Bob and George fans! I'm so sorry my artist had to write the rant today. I know how hard it is to write a one page article on...anything. So very difficult.
Anyway, we've made a critical decision about the current plotline. That decision being, we're cutting it a little short. Now, I will not reveal why, but we're very interested in getting this current plotline over with. I do believe we are pretty much cutting all the extranious scenes out, and just keeping the better jokes.
So, wait, how is this bad? You guys get nothing but premium comics, and no fluff! Oh, that's right, because I have to actually start writing arc two now. Joy.
As far as my job goes, I am an intern at Auburn University. I get to find out my job tomorrow. I BELIEVE I will be working with robots, teaching them how to behave, and making a user interface. It's a lot of technical jargon, but it's pretty much a training AI with a web server interface. If I'm allowed to link it when it's done, I'll let you guys check it out. The goal is to always have it running, so this could be cool.
This will NOT keep me from my work on the comic, if anything it gives me MORE time to work on the comic. To be honest, most of the time I am here I am not actually working, I am just being social with my fellow REU students.
I'd also like to point out some things in our newsbox today. First, our forum link. Now you might be saying, hey! Why isn't that link up there with the rest of the links? Easy, we're working on a brand new design, dreamed up by the artist himself. Now, personally, I am cool with the design as it stands. I like minimalism in my designs. I feel your pain, dial-up people. I really do. I have only recently released myself of the burdening shackles of dial-up. Maybe, some day, the rest of you will also have the ability to free yourself of the pains of dial-up, but until then, I want to keep things at a minimum. It PAINS ME to know that the comic is usually a little under 200 kb. I know what that does to my dial-up brothers who have not been emancipated. Your time will come, my brothers.
I would also like to note the blurb right below it. Now, Dom is neither a lesbian, nor does he travel through time, and he is only modestly attractive. But, he is a wonderful person, and had designed the ENTIRE back end for Sold Out from scratch. He has put up with all of my delightfully kooky ideas for web design. All he asks, is for your anal virginity.
It's not much, people. Every little bit helps.
That sums up everything I wanted to talk about today. I hope to see you all here next update.

Because I've been busy and Kite's not lazy anymore, it appears I have to do the ranting for today's comic. It's not something I like to do (I enjoy pissing people off more if I know they're there, hence my joy over our forum), but.
Kite apparently has some sort of... job or something now. I have no idea what he does or if, in fact, he does anything. From what I gathered, he has about as much knowledge of this work content. So don't bother asking us about it.
Second order of business: We have successfully snagged advertising at Bob and George after our second try. Seriously. Kite emailed Dave sometime in November and we never got a reply. But this time we did it!! Now people might read this comic! Better yet, they'll read this pointless rant! It's like... some sort of zen thing. Time-traveling feng shui and all that. Fuck if I know.
I had this whole speech prepared for such an occasion that I may get to rant on this but I don't remember what it was. So go away. I'm done.
