I find, in the long run, not killing your employers is a good thing. With the holiday rush, and Kyle working at a holiday-oriented business, I suppose today's punchline might actually have something to do with him.
For those who read and remember these rants, you might remember God smote me last year with the two week plague. This time he decided to go easy on me and just made my weekend suck. Still, this means that since the last update I have done nothing but lay in my bed and bitch that there is no actual food in the house (I find delivery people are more than willing to fix this problem for cash monies anyway).
Needless to say, having done jack shit over the weekend means...I have nothing new to write about. Also, having not watched much in the ways of news....yeah, I have no idea what's going on out there. Something tells me I don't want to know. Last time I checked the news at random I found out that an entire city had just been royally fucked over by some hurricane. I think I will hold off on that.
I suppose I could talk about City of Heroes. Friend of mine gave me a two week free trial a few days ago, and it could not have come at a better time. Nothing accompanies the slow death better than some mildly amusing gaming. And, when I say mildly, I do mean mildly. City of Heroes pits you against the nefarious underworld. Giving you various scenarios in which to flex your superhuman powers. Oh, wait, but all these scenarios are roughly the same...and none of the enemies really feel all that different...
The character creation process is extremely flexible, and you have plenty of room for experimentation. Which is cool, because more likely than not you'll have another idea that sounds like fun. For instance, I made a pretty decent mobster named Johnny Dangerously. I was rather proud of that.
It's also a rather low-impact MMO. You don't have to worry about hunting for those precious 0.05% drops. Pretty much everyone is on equal grounds. As well, if you want to play with your buddies it's pretty easy to. You can sidekick to people higher leveled than you, and though you don't get new powers your current powers are adjusted for such a level of manliness as your buddy might possess.
Definitely not worth $15, but a mildly enjoyable way to spend a few days as you fight off satan spawn infecting your lungs.
Mario Kart seems like a major prospect in my life right now, on TWO fronts. For one, of course, there is the Mario Kart DS game we have all waited for with bated breath. At last! We can play our friends ON-LINE in multi-player Mario Kart action! This definitely fulfills both my gamer side and my tech nerd side. I can't wait to take this shit to the internets, my friend. Oh yes, there will be drifting.
For that matter, apparently the local mall, Arbor Place, has obtained a copy. The very moment I heard this, my reply was "When can we go? Friday! We're all going Friday." I have never looked forward to going to a mall so much in my life. If you see a big guy with brown hair, sideburns, and slightly girly glasses giggling to himself as he throws red turtle shells...do not bother him. He has found his happy place.
Until then, it's 4 am, I'm supposed to work tomorrow. Sleep is for the now.

...they are all repetative and plotless. The only good they are is the social interaction, with, well, more refined characters. And perhaps the use of parties to take down creatures no one can take down one on one (which is, all right). The major problem I have with them is that monthly fee, tis' an annoying thing as I am unemployed.
Also, the fact that I AM unemployed, keeps me from getting the 600 I need for a suped up sex machine of a computer *drools*
2 1 Gig RAM cards 1 Gig Video Card Pentium 4 2.2 GHz Processor (already have that one, yay!) A mother board with ports for anything I damn well please (my Dell doesn't have one for a video card, I was PISSED when I saw that.)
Speaking of online fun, I need to get my PSP online playable, though I need to find a wireless router that I can actually use that has no firewall of Naziness or isn't the schools so I can register for an account and play Twisted Metal online :D
Hey, in Mario Kart DS is the feather back yet? That was the BEST item ever. Getting chased by anything? Jump over it. Want to get to a secretive area that is near impossible otherwise? Jump to it. I miss that toy :(
Anyway, I have 18 minutes left of class, a speech to finish writing, and the over coming desire to daydream of the date-like-thing I had last night :D
Buh-bye

Ah, while the feather isn't there (sad indeed!!), you drift by hopping. The ability to hop, I feel, is vital to the gameplay.
So far, I think the DS Mario Kart is my favourite Mario Kart yet!

Stay the hell away from StarWars Galaxies. It is impossible to explain how much they just screwed it up.

I will say that everything GOOD about SWG is in CoH, while they left out most everything that was BAD about it.

SWG just outright sucked. Nuff said.
CoH, sure they left out all the bad parts...they left out every part.

They need a MMO game where it's made for people against people. Where you have the whole "Good Vs. Evil" bit, with the whole sidequesty thing. The whole point to it is you need to be able to just have an army of actual people go in tooth and nail. CoH? Go around and beat the crap out of little things. SWG? Let's... not even go there. WoW? Go kill things, get stuff, kill bigger things. DAoC? Same thing, 'cept you can have skirmishes with other "realms". No, damnit, no! Pool server resources for a huge ongoing clash of an army of people! You get better stuff? Great! Kill this person for me. Oh, did I mention I haven't done it because he's got an entire Citadel under heel? My mistake. Things like that would be bitchin'. I want something like a world where all you do is try to kill other People, not people that're controlled wholly by programming.

Well WoW DOES have the whole PVP server thing.... that would be closest to what you're looking for.

| | Good Free(mostly) MMoRpg and possable money maker (sorry for the above) Posted on Saturday 19Nov05, at 4:17 am. by dameloth@yahoo.com | |
Stared on it and my cat jumped the keyboard.. but anyway http://www.project-entropia.com/
Its a mmorpg that is 100 free.. But you can use real money to get ingame money, and cash in game money out for real money. While Ill admit that geting started without slaping down ten bucks is a pain in the ass (I game in and gave them 10 for 100 in game money) and have found the game rather fun. Great graphics, nice sound and its free, so its worth just checking out.
