Yeah, those things are pretty evil.

I hope you all like action. After the rather emotional few comics before this arc, we figure it's time for large explosions. Everyone likes large explosions, don't they? I know I do.

The current arc, or at least the writing for it, is coming along rather slowly. I have come to realize just how many characters we have started to introduce lately, all of varying degrees of importance.

There is one, in particular, I can't wait to see pulled off. Some of these characters are just there for me, little pawns I move around and make things happen. Some, however, are important. There are just some characters that feel like little parts of me, and when I see them in action, it makes me smile.

We are quietly passing into the 75 comic range. I say quietly, because during that period of confusion and upheaval recently there was a SIGNIFICANT drop off of readers. Though the readers we have, I think, are quiet loyal...we need to fix that. Fixing that will require advertising. And, until we get that flier promotion campaign off the ground *cough*, promotion requires money.

Let me tell you a little something about money.

Someone, out there in that wide world, decided it was a good idea to give me a credit card. Ask ANYONE I know, they will tell you this was a bad idea. I buy stupid, selfish, un-important stuff for myself. Not that I really need it, and I know I don't, but there is a problem here.

I started off with a $300 credit card. This was good. Then they extended it to $1000. Then, I went to Vegas. Seeing how much of an idiot I am, they EXTENDED it to $2000. I honestly have not been the same since.

Here's the thing, I look at something, and I think to myself, can I afford it? Well, fuck! There's a little card in my pocket that tells me YES INDEED, I can! I can take this home TODAY! Hey, you can always pay it off later!

Problem is, yes, I have money coming in the interim to cover this expense, but I forget little thing...you know, food, gas, coffee. Shit like that. As well, I drive a 12 year old car that is passing the 200,000 mile mark. It needs love.

The point of this little rant? I don't want you to worry about me, I'm exaggerating for a point, because I ALWAYS have an escape clause. Honestly, advertising is relatively inexpensive anyway, so I can't really complain about it - and it only costs $5/month for the hosting space I got (pretty sweet package actually, we could hold up to 20 times more traffic than we currently get). As well, I know, if I REALLY spend too much, I have multiple avenues to bail me out. What I want to be though is a warning. People told me this before, and I never listened. Heed my words. CREDIT CARDS ARE A TOOL OF THE DEVIL. IF YOU MUST GET ONE, HIDE IT FROM YOURSELF. DO NOT BUY THINGS LIKE PETE AND PETE SEASON TWO, BECAUSE YOU CAN.

*ahem* ...thank you.

Ah, so it's more than one level? That added a few units onto the pile of N work to be done.

But the Sold Out maps will be completed...THEY WILL BE COMPLETED! *foaming at mouth*

Hate to say it, but Kite's right.
Credit cards are evil. Just as evil are cards that let you tap directly into your bank account, and don't mind you overdrawing yourself 200+ dollars. Stupid internet, giving me something and not telling me you'll keep charging. Or even how to stop it.

I'm going to kill the internet... somehow...

But if you killed the internet, what would happen to Sold Out?

It would uh...invade TV? That would be interesting.

"HEY, turn it to channel 3149, you know SOC? I hear they have page 19 on it for the next 5 minutes, I never saw that one myself."

or possibly it would just die.
Yeah probably that.

I have both the ones from up to this point completed, but as she hasn't gotten to the goal yet for this one, the second one might need to be edited. But it's a friday, so it should update momentarily...

Credit cards are the biggest scam EVER.

Actually, with the technology we have today Soldout could be made into DVDS! and then PSP DISCS! but then! SONY WOULD GET GREEDY! and then We would have to combat them to get the rights back! BUT THEN! SANTA CLAUS COMES!!!!!! 0EH TEH NOES!!!111!!!! Then everyone explodes. And then the comic dies.

Actually, funny thing, there IS another medium, we call them COMIC BOOKS. I know, it's a strange concept, but people actually put these things into books.

Actually, before I went into the sarcastic area, I was actually going to make a semi-serious comment. The dude from Punks and Nerds actually has his stuff on iTunes. That's right, you can download his comics and place them on your iPod photo. Why not just download them off his WEBSITE and put them there? I don't know either. Neither does he. But, from what I hear they asked HIM if he would do it.

Also, on Credit Cards...yes, they CAN be useful, very useful. For one, they upped the bajeebus out of my credit. I now rank in the low 700s. As well, I don't know HOW many car problems I have gotten out of thanks to that plastic beauty.

As well, 1% of all money I spend is donated to the democratic party on my behalf, and since ALL my expenses are put on that card, a decent chunk of change has gone to the party. I'd like to note that my donation to Child's Play was actually put on that card, so an additional chunk of change was given to the party when I did that. Pretty sweet deal.

But, I grew up poor, so my appreciation for novelty shiny things is WAY too high. Almost all of my purchases are nickle and penny (I have bought TWO games in the last year that cost more more than $30), but they add up.

Oh, and if you don't believe me on the iPod download thing, it's in beta right now but you can see it at the following link:

HEY LOOK AT ME!

Now, before you say, well, to download it TO your iPod you have to get on the internet, because I know you're thinking it...uh, shut up. Stop making perfectly valid points.

If you tried to make this into a comic book...

And then I remember you're the type of people I hung out with in High School.
My prospects for the future seem much bleaker, now...

COPY RAITO!! *BAM*

Sold Out, at its heart, is built directly on shamelessness and reference, however indirect. Konami, Gravity and Metanet (among others) would probably form Voltron and pound us into dust if we made a book, really.

I'm actually quite tempted to make a list of all the "things" this comic has made reference to but I'm lazy. Somebody do it for me.

Nope. =P

I'm just as lazy. If I posted the codes for the N maps I made (Off the comic) here, would it "stretch" the site? I don't want to uglify it.

As for posting N code...

Just felt like saying that I check the site every day, even though you only update two of the week.
But let's face it. I don't have a life, or anything better to do.

Hey, I check the site everyday, and I know the creators personally, and get bugged the heck out when somehow I miss a new comic. I think this means I win in a no-life contest!

All right. Someone who has the tag of -Comic can't exactly beat me out in a "no life contest". You're technically part of this whole experience, so you're void of it.
Niku, however... dear Gods. You make me want to cry. I need to keep in mind that as bad as it might seem for me, there's always someone who's worse off.

I check the site maybe 5 time per day. I work at a computer lab and have nothing better to do than hit refresh and see if anyone posted new comments on the main page. I get home and log on to my computer. I go to class so I can learn how to use my computer better.

...I'm just amazed someone checks this site nearly as often as I do. We need more people like you!
