This comic wonderfully displays the difference in thought between me and Kyle when producing comics.
My original intention for today's comic was that Sami and Kirin go into a friendly bar room brawl. Yeah, that's right, violence for fun, but they never intended to kill anyone - just sort of a stress releaser after a long time of inactivity. Kirin, having the small frame and being unsuited for melee combat, would get taken out. Then, Sami has her moment of righteousness. Seeing her friend taken out so, her will goes up, and she heroically takes out the guy who would dare try to kill her partner.
Then, Kyle turned it from that into Sami going slightly mental after seeing Kirin stabbed rather violently in the back near the shoulder. I guess Sami thinks Kirin might die at this point and is in a "eye for an eye" mode. Instead of that randomly morphed claw of hers (and no, her hand isn't SUPPOSED to be able to morph into a claw - something is going on here that we're not talking about until later) being a tool of righteousness, that's a tool of berserker rage.
At first, Kyle was going to kill off the white haired chatterbox (who the hell talks that damn much during a battle?), until I said "...would Sami really kill someone?" Of course, this was AFTER he had already drawn the comic out, so some panels were moved, and I believe how it ends, for now, is going to be left ambiguous - but now instead of self defense, Sami might have to defend herself against higher allegations - fun thing is, I already know how this change can actually help me make this arc BETTER, with a more convincing reason for something that will happen soon than "oh, it seemed like a good idea."
Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you Sami - fallen hero (if only for this one, brief moment). I don't know what she's really doing to that guy in the last panel, obviously we're going to have a short discussion over "direction", but...it's definitely a lot different and opens some new doors.
I think talking about that has kind of killed any other real rant topic, so instead I feel like mentioning - they've shoved me in a back corner at work, away from everybody. Let me show you a short diagram.
See the closet area in the back you have to go through the lab to get to? Yeah...as well, the doors on either side as supposed to stay closed, as this is actually A STOREAGE AREA (I am currently surrounded by cleaning supplies, an old broken mini-fridge, and a fan).
...this means on Friday I can pretty much expect to sit here and do nothing. Cool.

I think you guys just couldn't come up with anything good to put there.

More or less, but not really; panel 4 was supposed to be panel 5 and panel 2 was supposed to be panel 1, but things got changed around for the sake of STUFF and whatnot and... so forth. Shut up, I'm an expert, look at my labcoat!

Yeah, that was kind of a last minute decision, after he drew it. Went something along the lines of "So, I was going to post a poll over whether Sami should kill him or not, but I decided against it. So, he dies!" "Oh, death is always cool. But, wait, isn't it rather...unusual for Sami to actually kill someone? She's usually rather level headed. Maim, maybe..." "Oh fine."
Paraphrased, of course, and you get to guess who is who there :)
Rant later today, I just kind of woke up accidently on time to get where I need to go today (isn't that always fun?)

That isn't exactly a nonsensical term, though I did just shove two together that makes a bit of sense.
Firstly, emo idiots need to be killed. Anyone who must ask why should be detained and deprogrammed as an emo sympathyzer.
That's me, at the tail end of it. Death? Death is a clean, simple thing you can do that shows very little creativity. You can't suffer when you're dead, you just, stop.
From the Princess Bride;
"to the pain".
Because let's face it, you can do a lot worse to someone than just kill them.
A lot worse.
