More attempts at finding our place

This is how we work here at Sold Out. We set you up with a scenario, and we explain it much later. Today, you get to find out why Polaris let the ex-communicated son of a noble take care of some rather risky business. However, we now face you with a new character. Who is the man spinning in the chair? Tune in next time! Same Bat Time*, same Bat Channel!

*Bat Time is not guaranteed

I'm always throwing new things out, some things stick some things don't. The voting incentives of the wallpapers seem to be going over well (see also the sticky note right above this). The donation drive didn't go over well. We're now thinking of selling...shirts.

We actually have kind of decided on what we want for it, namely this wallpaper design (it actually makes a really good desktop) is going to be the shirt. We can print it on any damn color we want (at least, anything that's not white, so we can order this shirt in any non-white color), and we can order it in any SIZE we want, the problem is we have figured out in order to make a profit we're going to need to buy about 72 shirts. Now, we know of course that not all of these shirts will sell off the bat, but we're going to give you guys the opportunity to either pre-order, or decide for us how we should do this.

Since we're not officially selling the shirts yet, we could use some feedback. What color would you like to see it in? Think we should change something about it? Is Jeffism not even that cool in the first place? Speak up, man! As well, we'll be setting up the ability to pre-order soon, which will be your only time to get the shirt in a non-standard color, so that will be the ONLY time you can get the shirt in a color other than the one we end up choosing.

So, there's your heads up about that.

As well, me and Dom are talking yet again about selling advertising space, and we've come up with a decent system.

Now, we only need $8/month to cover current server costs (these costs could hold us at well over 30,000 visits per day, a shit ton more than our current marker). That said, we're thinking of using the Bob and George system. That is, you can buy ad space with us for $2 per slots, and we'll have 20 slots. Your ad will run for an entire month, on one of these 20 randomly presented slots, at yet again only $2 per slot. We think that's a pretty sweet deal.

So, again, if either of these sound cool, or you have some thoughts, or want to do business/pre-order a custom shirt, drop me a line at my email or just put a comment below if it's just a general idea. I get a shit ton of spam every day and no real email so it'd be cool to get something worth reading in there for a change anyway.

And that is PRECISELY what makes this comic so awesome. Well, it's not all of it. But, hell, that was awesome nonetheless.

By the way, I'm totally buying that. If I can find a way to get money there, anyhow.
