I saw the word Technology and....

It made me think...

What spyware/antivirus/whatever thing do you prefer?

Could be a mix of two, also.

Personally, I like using Malwarebytes along with Spyware Doctor.

I've been using AVG and Spybot, because I am a cheap bastard.

Re: I saw the word Technology and....

I'm using Panda Antivirus because that's what the guy at the store I bought it from installed on it.  On my desktop I am using AVG.

Spybot and ClamWin, myself.

I used AVG instead of ClamWin until they upgraded to that new look and I hate it and it is bloaty and I hate it.

Even though ClamWin is MUCH slower at scanning, it's the principle of the matter.

Re: I saw the word Technology and....

Yeah, ClamWin, that's what I'll use. Am using.
It's free, right?
Mostly what I use is no email ever, because I hate it, and no that other thing where everywhere starts with 'alt', because I'm too lazy to figure out something that I know will instantly fill up my hard drive with junk I'll never actually use but is irresistible because it's free.
And I haven't tried to get any keygens in quite some time. That'll get you more boned then being sent to federal maximum security skeleton jail.

Pandas have been known to be real badass motherfuckers when it comes to anti-virusing.

"Now I know what you're thinking. Did I detect 6 viruses or 7? Well, in all this confusion I've lost track of it myself. So you just gotta ask yourself one question. 'Do I feel lucky?' Well, do ya, punk?"

Now I have this image of a Panda tearing the shit out of things as I run my antivirus software.

This.

And I'm a firm believer that if you're the only one who uses your computer (I had to share my old one with my family and I had 3 different Anti-viruses on that one.) you should generally be smart enough to avoid most, if not all, viruses.

What are you saying? That you wanna be like me? Do you understand that I just barely want to be like me?

Re: I saw the word Technology and....

Seems that way. AVG only finds evil cookies.
Sometimes I say something that insinuates I should <verb>. That one worked out alright.

I'm sure I am, though my mom seems to think she's far more tech savvy.

But she also needed help finding the Bookmarks section in Firefox.

She also seemed to think at one point that hackers could hack into your computer through the power lines. With the computer turned off.

I think that says enough.

She watches fox news, doesn't she?

Sometimes.

She also regularly watches Lifetime movies, reality shows (the really bad ones), and every History Channel documentary about the end of the world they have ever made.
