Hmm, I just don't play it because I hate grinding. And subscriptions*, I just want to buy a thing once and then have it. Rent is the worst of this, which is unfortunate, because it's very hard to make the leap from 'parents basement' to 'own basement'.
*Buying food is like a subscription, because you don't get to keep it and use it at the same time. I wonder how much I would pay for a lifetime subscription to cheese.
I recently bought all of Fallout, but I anticipate several months before I'm done with Borderlands and get around to it. Or maybe I'll be sick of deserts and play BioShock, which came out between when my old computer wasn't good and when I got a new one.

I played Borderlands, and I found it horribly boring. I wonder why.

This sounds like something to investigate!
What class were you playing?
Do you even like first person shooters?
You didn't expect the plot to be a whole big thing, did you?
Do you lack a passion for loot?
Did I already say that its most of the wonderful loot getting of Diablo without all the horrible Diablo gameplay?

Soldier, I think.
Do you even like first person shooters?
I like 'em well enough.

Well, what with them advertising it as something of an FPS/RPG hybrid, I expected the gameplay to vaguely resemble Mass Effect. As it was, it was pretty much just a straight-up FPS except with numbered damage.
Do you lack a passion for loot?
Yes, actually. Loot-getting and the organization of equipment is something I've always found horribly boring. To bring up Mass Effect again, having to make sure that my group always had all of the best equipment before I went to sell stuff got old fast.

I don't think so, but that sounds about as unappetizing as I found the game.
Also, speaking of Fallout, the utter tedium of getting around in Fallout 3 probably dulled my appreciation for post-apocalyptic wastelands, which I doubt helped.

I play with a Hunter who has the obsessive need to carry around literally eighty different guns and somehow find it imperative that he actually requires them all.
Also he doesn't have Knoxx and I really want to fucking play it, help me out here.

!) The soldier might be pretty boring. I'm playing one now; as a hunter I had to hide behind things and be good at aiming, but my soldier is too badass, I can just run right up to anything and stand there shooting it in the head until it dies.
loot question) Well, there's your problem right there. I tried starting Zombie Island with my level 50 hunter, but since anything I picked up would be completely useless, it was pretty boring. Now I'm going through it with a level 20something soldier and it's much more interesting.
Apocalypse) I seem to never tire of post-apocalyiticity.

I was just moments ago thinking how much I hate it when people use 'literally' to exaggerate. Backpack capacity maxes out at 66.
Anyway, I seem to have at least 3 each of sniper rifles (accurate, fast, and powerful. I rarely find one that's good at two of those) and revolvers (Masher, sniper, elemental) at any one time. I used to always have two combat rifles (a DMR and a SAW, to use actual military terminology), but I stopped getting good ones. I've found rocket launchers to be useless on everything but the Rakk hive.
Playing as a hunter first sort of spoiled me, because trespass is a really awesome ability. Shooting at shields is for loosers.
Want a fullauto sniper rifle? I've got two, the wiki says they're quite rare, so I didn't want to just get rid of them. ~450dmg, ~"4" fire rate (more like 8), one's faster and one's more accurate. Also, I don't actually know how to trade weapons (PC version, everybody I know has the console versions).
How am I supposed to help you out with Knoxx? Send you 10$? I've got Zombie Island and the Underdome to get through first, so I won't be there for a while.

No. I mean literally. We made him hack an extra 50 slots into his inventory after Zombie Island because he spent so long having a crisis of equipment every time we came across a vending machine.
This, ultimately, only delayed things for about half an hour.

Well, that's a relief; I'm glad you're not irritating.
I almost want to try to think of an assortment of 80 different guns that are all arguably useful.
I should just stop writing this post, because I can't stop doing that.
