| | BAM! Posted on Friday 7Nov08, at 6:53 am. | | |
Okay so, we finally got something set up that should stop all that spam.
In the process I deleted comments from the last 37 comics. Whoops. Blame me!
But lets put it this way, I deleted over 10,000 comments, after a while I started using a bigger gun, and on that last shot, oops.
It feels nice to be able to load this page again, while logged in.

And just so this page doesn't seem so empty, I'm commenting again. Feel free to express your joy and idolization to Dom who finally got around, and spent like 20 minutes fixing it.

Heheheh. Well, it's good to see that this page is manageable again. Hopefully the ridiculous spam hasn't scared off too much of the fanbase. It certainly didn't for me.

| | Update... about comments! Posted on Saturday 8Nov08, at 5:34 am. | | |
Actually, I've managed to restore the comments up to comic 125! Or mostly, at least, thanks to the fact that they aren't actually deleted from the server but moved to where they can't be accessed.
From there on though, is when the spam got really bad... and there really was over 10,000 deleted messages, about 250MB worth.

Now when people are searching for the thing they're looking for, google won't show them this page (that they weren't looking for) with spam on it (that they weren't looking for), linking to another thing they weren't looking for. The internet is an infinitesimally better place.
