I can feel the hate mail coming already. It feels like...warmth.
The cast of Sold Out is, for the most part, agnostic. Simply because it's easier that way. That is not to say they cannot find God, however. Who knows. Any comedian will tell you, the more controversial a subject the more comedic potential it has. Remember, offense is often taken, and rarely given.
I feel like I lost a weekend. I don't know what happened to it, it's kind of...gone. What have I been doing? Well, a large part of it has been socializing, but there have been other things, and those are things are what I am prepared to rant over.
For one, I saw the latest Harry Potter flick. It actually wasn't all that bad. If you can, see it amongst friends who do things so nerdy they won't question your interest in Harry Potter. Don't go with the friends who will say "Harry Potter? Isn't that go gay fags?" Oh, you do not want them.
All in all, it was pretty decent. The special effects were damn special. The acting was pretty spot on, and never felt forced. The story progressed faster than you could really figure out what was going on - but considering the length of the book versus the movie, it was to be expected.
There were a lot of dark things in this particular movie. I do NOT suggest you let your children see it, unless they are of strong mental fortitude. I don't want to give away spoilers, so skip this paragraph if you must, but there's a scene where they drop what looks a lot like a fetus into a pot of boiling water, and then bloodshed occurs.
There were some damn funny moments of course, and Mad Eye Moody makes for a great teacher in this movie. All in all, if you can stomach a game like Katamari Damacy, you'll likely feel at home during this movie.
Oh god, Mario Kart DS is so much better than I possibly thought it could be. I've already beaten every single possible track, and every mission, including the bonus missions. I think I went a LITTLE crazy with this game. Of course, the true beauty is despite having played this game a REDICULOUS amount it's not done. Oh no. The game continues to give you little bits of fun and joy. 32 tracks, at 3 speeds, and then a mirror course. 7 mission stages with 8 objectives and a boss. Online multiplayer, battle mode, unlockable ghosts in practice laps...this is a lot of game for $35. But, at the same time, you may find yourself done with a little early. I can't say I blame you, but keep it around for the multiplayer material.
I also picked up Stephen King's Dark Tower VII: The Dark Tower. I'm about 200 pages of big page small type in, and so far it's pretty solid. New things to consider, new plotlines. Weighing in at over 800 pages it's no longer a book. It's a fucking weapon. I could beat people easily with this book.
I'd say more, but this is not a fucking livejournal - as much as I treat it like one sometimes. But, those are my opinions. Quality purchases for you and yours.
Also, expect another update on Thursday AND some filler comicing on Errant Story coming soon. Kyle has been a busy little man, oh yes.

I have to say, I love reading books. The longer, the better, and if you can use it as a weapon, that makes it double the fun. Yay, literacy. All you bastards who don't like books, learn to. I might decide you don't need to be filtered from the gene pool.

Mmm... books are good.
I read a lot of books.
I recently read the for Ender's Game books.
And I'm on the third book of the Wheel of Time series.

You know, I've just flipped through the older comics, and I'm wondering. What happened to Meria's pet stealth-zombie, Brian? Curious. Also, I'd like to point out that any Earth Federation is filled with a bunch of assholes who don't give a damn about anyone else. I hate them. I hate them so much..!

I believe that was supposed to be one of the sub-arc comics, but that might have been one of the ones that got skipped.
I suppose, for plot continuity purposes, you could say he was left behind like everyone else was on that planet.
...in the original script though Tristain freaked out when he saw him and jestisined him out into space.

Being a Christian (though non-denominational, and not easily offended) and loving both theology and this comic, you'd better hurry up and explain who this deity/force/whatever 'Jeff' is! I am thoroughly creeped out that we share the same name!
But anyway, good work on the comic, keep it up and update soon! Good to hear you guys like the new HP movie, I'm seeing it with my gf this Friday.
The zombie needs to make a cameo appearance, it rocked.

Though there are things coming up, as well as a side-comic related to The Book of Jeff, it's actually an in-joke, based on a friend of ours also named Jeff.
Not to spoil anything, but a lot of things associated with Jeffism are going to be strange gamer references, especially free computer games.

That is definately something I would have done. Fucking ihate/i zombies.

Heh, nice. I'm looking forward to where this is going. I play a lot of freeware and shareware games myself, sounds interesting.
