I really have to say, I love today's comic. I think the little sub-arc of Ciere's conversion to Jeffism is interesting, to say the least. I'm proud because this is one of the few real examples of me and Kyle seriously collaborating on one joke.

We're also in works in several other things, of which I feel I can name a few, but first I want to remind you that Child's Play ends in just two weeks. Yes, the link above the rant HAS been there, and yes it will be there until the 20th. Please, give until your wallet explodes. If not to Child's Play, then to some other deserving charity at least. The holidays are one of the few times of year people are open with their wallets, you have to sink your teeth in while you have the chance.
So, we're working on our marketing side of Sold Out.
Kyle is looking to start accepting commissions, so if any of you need something artsy done, feel free to go ahead and contact him (or me, I can direct whatever you wan to him), but we'll work out rates and whatnot for people wanting commissions.
We're also working out some sort of package for people who donate. You know, one of those "we'll give you some wallpapers, unreleased strips, sketch art, etc. if you are willing to give us moneys" sort of deals. If this interests you, don't worry about hesitating until we get the page up - we're going to donate 50% (or, if you want to change the donation rate, feel free to include how much you wish to donate) to Child's Play, and they need it in ASAP (remember, before the 20th).
As well, for people serious about donations, and interested in promoting their website, we're considering selling adspace. Again, no need to wait for us to have an official release on this, just tell us whenever. We're thinking to start off with, anyone who wants to advertise with us just needs to give us $10/month, and they'll be our sole advertiser (yeah, I don't really see a whole lot of people lining up for this idea, but I'm willing to throw this out there.) This would be to cover our server costs (which adsense is hardly capable of doing). I don't mind operating at a loss here, but if I can minimize that I'd be happy for it to happen. The stuff for the commissions and donations package would all be going to Kyle of course, since this would all be his work.
Sorry to bore you guys with a serious post, I'll be sure to do something stupid over the weekend so I have better things to talk about. | |
